More about the Role
The sales process at AnswerLab is highly consultative for the simple reason that our client's research needs are as varied as the myriad websites, software, and mobile applications that exist today. Many of their business challenges occur on the cutting edge of online and mobile technologies. Just about every single research project we carry out is unique, and our research methods include online customer experience evaluations (survey & web behavioral analysis), one-on-one website usability sessions (interviews), focus groups and mobile/iPhone studies.

Your role has "classic" account management and business development responsibilities. Your primary focus will be to develop additional business from an assigned book of existing accounts. For example, we've done some great work at a number of Fortune 1000 companies and you will leverage our success to penetrate other areas of the company.
Once you are fully up to speed on our service offerings, you will spend the majority of your time prospecting, setting meetings and making sales presentations to both existing and new clients. During the sales process, you will have the support of Research Directors to structure the technical details of your proposals.
Keys to Success
Perhaps the most critical skill you will bring to the table is the ability to understand the client's business needs and challenges, and then to apply that knowledge in the development of customized solutions. It takes a consultative approach -- research, preparation, thoughtful & probing questioning, and interpersonal savvy -- to achieve this level of understanding, but once established, it is the key to unlocking the relationship.
Our fast-moving environment creates a bias for smart individuals who are able to think on their feet, deal with conceptual thinking, and who can match ideas with managers and executives at some of the leading companies in America.
If you share these traits and want to join a growing organization, we look forward to hearing from you.
